We are pleased to invite you to nominate a candidate for the 2016 Pledge to Remember Scholarship Program sponsored by the Korean War Legacy Foundation, Inc. and the Ministry of Patriots of Veteran Affairs of South Korea.

Finalist for this scholarship will be chosen on the basis of character, leadership, archival contributions, civic duty to their community, and scholarship. Each recipient is eligible for a one-time scholarship ranging from $500-$1,000 that may be used at any accredited college or university the student chooses to attend.

Each accredited education program may nominate more than one student[K4] . The following page of the application details eligibility and application procedures; please read and follow it carefully. All applications must be postmarked or received by Friday June 3rd, 2016. No exceptions will be made and incomplete applications will be disqualified. This will ensure the program time to review all candidates and announce the recipients in a timely manner.

The winner of the scholarship will be notified by email in early May. We will ask the winners of this scholarship to submit a video explaining why they joined the program, and what impact it has had on their lives.

Please do not hesitate to contact the foundation with any questions. We look forward to receiving your school’s applications.
